Outdoor functional Training Classes

Are you ready to get back into working out?

What you need to know:

1. In Ontario, social gatherings has been lifted from 5 to 10 people, and we do not have to meet with the same people every time.

2. During phase 2 re-opening in Ontario, York Region has given the go-ahead to personal trainers to “workout outside of the gym”, given that physical distancing measures are in place, after Friday June 19th 2020.

So what does that mean for the personal trainer?

We are able to meet in groups of a maximum of 10 people (9+trainer) and workout outdoors, with physical distancing and proper sanitization pre-cautions.

What does that mean for you?

You are able to meet with one of our trainers, outdoors, for a group workout (9 and less), small group, or 1-on-1 session.

Hillside Park

549 Vellore Park Ave, Woodbridge, ON L4H 0L5

We will begin our outdoor workouts on Tuesday June 30th, 2020. The classes will be at night on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The first class will be from 5:30-6:30 pm and the second class will run from 7:00-8:00pm. We will continue to do our Saturday mornings Instagram live workouts (for those who don’t feel comfortable coming out yet) at 11:00-11:30am.

Our plan for how the workouts will take place:

  1. You arrive at the specified location (Hillside Park at Teston & Cityview Blvd.) with your own mat (yoga or workout mat), your own water, and a pair of gloves (the blue ones, gardening gloves, or any glove that covers your whole hand).

  2. The trainer will spray your hands with sanitizer before we begin the workout.

  3. Each workout will have a maximum of 9 people!

  4. You will need to wear your gloves the entire workout, and you will be using your own mat for the entire workout (when necessary).

  5. After the workout, the trainer will sanitize your hands again and then do a full sanitization of all equipment used (weights, bands, ropes, medicine balls, TRX, straps) for the next group.

The things you MUST to do to be cleared to workout:

  1. Complete the waiver form (after package is purchased).

  2. Complete the Covid-19 waiver form (after package is purchased).

  3. Complete the Par-Q (after package is purchased).

  4. Purchase a class package (either 1, 4, or 8 sessions) and sign up on the app for the day and time you want to come to.

    • We will contact you to direct you on how to sign up for classes.

    • We will be limiting the amount of people who will be able to sign up to ensure people get a spot in the classes.

*For 1-on-1’s and small group training, please contact us!*

  • What if it rains?

    • We will cancel and reschedule for the next night, or next best available day. But always come prepared for the weather (i.e winds, chilly nights)

  • How long are the workouts?

    • They will be 1 hour in length (warm-up, workout, stretch)

  • How long will we be doing outdoor workouts?

    • Fitness studios and gyms are in Phase 3 of the reopening plan for Ontario. Whenever they activate phase 3, we will move the workouts to the TTKF studio.

  • Will you add more classes during the week?

    • Depending on the demand and how this whole process goes. Decisions will be made on a week-to-week basis. We are more focused on starting off slow and paced to ensure everyone’s safety.

  • What if I have outstanding class sessions remaining from before quarantine?

    • If you have class sessions remaining, those will be saved and banked until Tietheknot Fitness is back to normal operating. New sessions must be purchased for these outdoor group workouts.

    • If phase 3 is activated, and we are able to open the studio, you may transfer any unused “outdoor group classes” for “in-studio group classes”.

  • What if I need to cancel a class?

    • You may cancel out of a class 24 hours in advance. If you cancel the day of, you will be charged for that class.

    • 2 Reasons why:

      • Respect for other people who may want to come to that class.

      • Commitment. Due to the limited spots available for purchasing packages, you need to make sure you will be committed to the classes before signing up, so that your spot is being used efficiently.
