Our Training Philosophy

At Tietheknot Fitness, our philosophy is Functional Training.

What is functional training?

  • It is completing exercises that uses the most amount of joints and muscles possible and uses movements that make you all-around strong and fit.

  • We combine different workout styles such as: strength training, circuit training, High-Intensity-Interval-Training (HIIT), and a whole bunch more.

    • We make the workout fun and engaging so you never get bored of working out and always strive for your BEST!

  • Functional Training is meant to turn fat mass into muscle mass, so not only do you lose fat, but you get stronger and leaner all at the same time.

 

The best part is…even if you’ve never worked out 1 day in your life, you can do functional training!

  1. Every Workout is a Follow Along Workout.  

    • What does that mean?

      • It means we workout with you. The entire time. You follow us on your phone/computer/tv. You push play and leave the rest to us.
         

  2. All Our Programs Can Be Done Anywhere, Anytime, by Anyone.

    • Whether you are just starting out, picking back up, or need a change of pace, our workouts are built for all of you.

    • Every workout can be done with minimal/no equipment, very minimal space, and either in your home or in a gym.

    • All our workouts have exercise modifications for all fitness levels and abilities. 

      • If you can't do a push-up just yet, we'll give you a modification.

      • If you're injured and can't do a jump squat, we'll give you a modification.

      • If you don't have a specific weight, we'll give you a modification.

    • Our goal is to make sure you are able to complete the workout to the best YOU can, and make sure you give 100% of YOUR effort.
       

  3. Structured Programming. 

    • Every program has a specific plan and every workout is structured according to the plan. Every exercise and workout has a purpose.

    • All programs have a progressive approach, which means, every exercise and workout builds on each other as the program progresses week-to-week. By the end of your program, you will be doing things you never thought you could!
       

  4. Keep Your Results.

    • Not only will you lose the fat, increase your cardio, learn to eat better, and learn how to workout, that success will stay with you far passed your programs end.

      • Throughout each program, we instil positive habit building that will TEACH you the fundamentals about a healthy lifestyle and how to make fitness a part of your life, not an addition to your life.

      • You get more than just a workout and a meal plan!
         

  5. 100% Effort and Support From Our Trainers.

    • One of the challenging factors about a fitness journey is the transitioning. There are 3 major transitions:

      • At the beginning (getting started)

      • In the middle (staying inspired/motivated)

      • Near the end (continue to the finish line)

    • Knowing these transitions and how to work through them, our trainers are there to support you every step of the way so that you stay on track and never lose sight of your end goal.

    • Our main goal is to make sure you finish every program and you achieve every goal you set!
